Q&A With September’s Featured Editor: James Breen
James Breen is an Associate in Goodwin’s New York office.
BMW: If you could make one rule that everyone must follow, what rule would you make?
James: Bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches would be the foremost source of nutrients and health for all human beings, thereby making them a mandatory part of our daily diet.
BMW: Where would we find you on a Saturday?
James: Somewhere around 11AM on a Saturday I’d usually be found moseying to the local bagel shop for my weekly source of nutrients and health (a B.E.C. on an everything bagel – no ketchup) and a large black coffee. Next, I’d jump in the car, roll the windows down, and drive to whatever errand my fiancé has lovingly planned for us – usually the Container Store. Finally, once we’ve finished erranding, you’re guaranteed to find me on the back deck taking in some sun and blasting a top 40’s playlist much to my neighbors dismay.
BMW: What spurred your interest in life sciences?
James: To me, life sciences is understanding the world around, and within us. The reasons why flowers smell beautiful, why the sun feels warm, and why we feel joy when we see a loved one. I have always been incessantly curious, and life sciences gave me a means to answer the questions all around me.
